“I wanted to send you a note to let you how incredibly happy we were with your fly rods. We're just back from a trip to New Zealand, where we exclusively fished with 6 weights, and I have to say it is everything that your customers say it is, and more. The power was silky smooth, coupled with unbelievable precision and plenty of power to land those big New Zealand trout. The fisheries were technical, the winds were consistent and gusty, and the rod handled everything beautifully. Paired with an able SDF 5/6 (a blue stunner to match the deep blue wrap) and SA Amplitude Infinity Smooth it was nothing but pure mojo!!!
The rod was a gift to my wife, and we both fished it for the duration of my trip alongside a D….s S.y G, which has been my trusted companion for the last two years. Comparatively, the T6 is like a vintage Martin dreadnought guitar - it reverberates through your soul! The S.y G makes good music, but the Stickman leaves an indelible impression. None of this is hyperbole!
I'll look forward to fishing the Ti5 (paired with an Abel TR 5/6 and the Amplitude Infinity), but we couldn't be happier.
Thank you so much for the memory maker”

“I just took both rods out to cast for over an hour. Wow! Thanks so much I love them.
The P4 is the best 4 weight I've ever cast. I had the A….th 4 weight for about a month and sold it immediately. The P4 is everything I hoped that rod would be. I cast it with my fave line, the Rio Technical Trout.
The T6 is really really good too. I cast that one with the MED since that is what everyone seems to like on that rod. I have a feeling the Wulff TT would work better, and will try the Rio Technical Trout too for sure. I need to buy another one of those however, because I sold it recently to a buddy in a package deal with my 6 weight A….th! I have a suspicion, for me, the Rio Technical trout, will put the T6 over the top. I like the longer belly on that line, but for some reason can't quite jive with the MED or Trout by Scientific Anglers.
Thanks again, I am really happy with the rods!”

"Due to Covid restrictions, I had to cancel my fishing trip....too bad!
So, I went fishing 2 days in a "réservoir" pound to try your beauty : Here is my first impressions:
A... ACCURATE... As casting with a rod mounted with a shooting scope! Sooooooooo damned precise from 3 to 20 m (I do not really fish over).
A..... AWESOME ... Zero efforts or muscle power to reach 20 m, it casts like a dream, you just feel you are casting a smooth and delicate 4# rod!
A... ADDICTIVE... Pure pleasure : Soooo light & balance in hand, that rod puts you in a kind of non-stop casting addiction mode!
Thank you very much to craft that T6 for me, and congratulations again for your job!"

"After reading the forum reviews I placed an order for my T6. The one 6 weight I currently had shot line like a cannon but the fun ended there. I was stunned by how my new Stickman can distance cast with sinking or floating line. When I hook up the rod bends just right, transferring every move the fish makes to your hand. I could not be more pleased with this rod and it will never leave my quiver. I am anxiously waiting for the P5 Amber to arrive. Thank you VERY much!"

"It’s here and it’s beautiful. I wasn’t sure about the Amber scheme but I am sold, maybe my favorite rod color of all the one I own. Thanks again for getting this to me in time for my trip."
Kevin Eastman, Illinois, USA
"The rod has more than met my expectations. It casts beautiful with little effort and it is accurate. I will be ordering a T7 in the near future."

"If I could only have one rod to fish all over the US, then I'd take this T6 for sure. I've used it to catch reds and bass in Florida, and I've caught trout in Michigan with the same rod. I use it for 90% of my casting practice. Short casts or long, clousers or PMD's, 15lb tippet or 5x, this T6 does great. The more I use it, the more I like it. I typically use a SA Expert Distance #6 line with this rod. You don't need a super heavy line to get this rod to load in close."

“There is a "feel" and "depth" to the Stickman rods that is unique and truly special. It is the "Soul" factor that is so hard to articulate with words. But, that "Soul" and connection between a Stickman rod and angler is better than any other that I have experienced. These rods provide casting and fishing "Nirvana" for me. I like these rods so much that I have become relatively disinterested in, and apathetic about most other premium rods. This is a big deal for me, because I am a terrible "gear *****", always searching for the next big thing. I can't recommend the Stickman Rods enough.
I have just recently acquired the Stickman T6 and P4 (8'), in addition to the P5 that I purchased earlier.
The T6 is a little different animal than the P5. The picture of the rod fully bent with the Salmon really displays the flex pattern of the rod perfectly. Relatively compliant tip with strong mid - butt section. It is similar to the G…… N.. 9', #6, but with lighter physical weight, and much lighter swing weight. The T6 displays accessible, abundant, SMOOTH power, in the lower 2/3 of the blank, and likes smooth input, no extra muscle or abrupt power application required to make the rod perform. This rod will be able to handle almost everything you might expect out of a #6 rod, Large Dry Flies, Multi-Fly, Hopper/Dropper Rigs, substantial Nymph rigs, and Streamers, easily. My initial impression is that this rod has a lot of depth and subtlety to it's capabilities and I very much look forward to a long lasting relationship with this rod.
…
Fished the T6 today. Mostly swinging a pair of soft hackles, but also some small streamers. So light, communicative, and loads at all distances. Overhead casting is very good, accurate, and easy to modulate power for both distance and for presentation. Roll casts and single hand spey casts are a snap with this rod as well. Any mend is easy.
What a GREAT fishing tool!
When fighting fish, you feel every move the fish made, better than any rod that I have every had. To say that I'm pleased is an understatement.
I am now and official "STICKMAN" convert.”

“But for me the pinnacle of a 6 weight rod is the Stickman T6-my, my, my! Just got back from fishing the Missouri and Big Horn Rivers and although the fishing was not good, I loved the Stickman. Power enough for streamers and hopper-droppers-yes. Sensitivity enough for dries-yes. Will handle wind-yes. Pretty good for 22 trios on 6X-yes. All this with great feel, with what I would term as a little faster side of medium fast, but at the same time the rod does not feel "rebar stiff". You know you have power in the blank but you can dial it back to where it is almost sensitive, like a lower weight rod. I know you have heard this before, but this rod really does have power with feel.
I know you have heard great things from others on the Forum about Stickman and I wonder if some of you think it is all made up. I assure you it is not. I have a 6 weight D…… S.. and it is for sale due to how much I love the Stickman.
I know it is difficult to test cast a Stickman, but if you ever get a chance to cast one, don't pass it by.”

“It is truly a wonderful creation. I consider it the perfect big water dry fly 6 ... throwing a true 6 line with ease and grace.”

"I'm currently fishing on river in South Island, New Zealand and want to give you my thoughts on the T6. I'm absolutely delighted with the rod. I have used it with a 12 foot leader to cast size 14 terrestrial fly patterns (tussock cicadas) to big trout and to present size 18 dun patterns on 18 foot leaders to fish feeding in slow, flat pools. The rod has performed flawlessly, allowing me to make presentations that induce trout to take my flies and to land big and strong fish on light tippets.”
Michael Kearney, Australia
I got my first rod from Stickman this spring, it was the T6 Stealth. I find it beautifully constructed and the fact that it is entirely built in Europe is impressive. There are not many of those rod manufacturers around.
I like fast and responsive rods since they allow me to do what I want. A slow, wobbly rod has a life of its own and I do not want that. The T6 is fast but not overly stiff. It is just right. I can overline or underline it, cast short or long, straight or curved and get a great result every time.

"Leura, Australia - 9th of February 2018
... there’s nothing wrong with your rod mate but think about using a softer rod for your MCI. These S... T.X rods are that stiff that it gets hard for a beginner to feel the cast and you cannot swap rods for the teaching part of the exam ...
... bugger, I’m not particularly good when it comes down to feeling but it would be stupid to ignore such a hint. Ok, what are my options?
S... X - damn it, too heavy swingweight. E... 6... - nah, even not with a bro-deal. My old Stickman P5 Evil - that one would be sweet with a Full Wels grip and as a #6. Okay, let’s have a look on the Stickman website ... the Amber T6 looks nice ... bummer, the #6 rods still have cigar grips. Maybe I can ask Ákos to change the grip for me? ...Yeah, no problem to change the grip. Next problem to decide between 18 reel seat options. Hell, that’s not easy if you are anyway bad with taking decisions ...
I was chuffed to bits as the rod finally arrived and I just had to take Amber for a cast the same day. That was also the day I felt in love with her. I know, rods are just „casting tools“ but all of a sudden I was even able to feel my casting. Arrrg, all these bloody faults ...
Thanks for building this rod for me Ákos ... Amber really is an eye-opener with her balance of strength and soul, and definitely the finest fishing tool I have ever owned."

"I have been fishing the T-6 for over a year primarily in medium sized clear freestone rivers on the Seward Peninsula and Interior Alaska for Arctic grayling, Dolly Varden and small Lake Trout. I have over 60 years fly-fishing experience, am a guide with Twin Peaks Adventures and teach casting classes. I find that I prefer a six weight rod for most of my fishing because it handles small streamers and nymphs well, allows ease of delivery close and far and has enough power for the quick landing of 2 -6 pound fish without overstressing them. My search for the “perfect six weight” has included many five and six weight rods from manufacturers both foreign and domestic.
Although I enjoy fishing several makers’ rods, the Stickman T-6 is the one I reach for most often and gets the vote as my favorite six weight. It handles long bellied lines that I favor with aplomb and is a delight to cast whether single handed spey or overhead. The rod is light in the hand and has the perfect balance of power and finesse providing the smooth seemingly effortless access to power whether close in or at distance that I was seeking. Akos has done a beautiful job with this rod.
I can recommend Stickman and the T-6 without hesitation to anyone wanting a premium fishing tool that will bring a smile to your face with each and every use."
