T10 Amber
Is the Amber a classic beauty or futuristic design? Hard to tell. One thing is certain: it looks amazing. Deep, translucent orange wraps with black edging for added contrast, paired with zebrawood or matte clear anodised aluminum spacers. A really eye-catching combination.
The T10 blank:
The T10 is the bigger brother of the T8. We felt we needed something that has a bit more backbone to fight bigger fish but still maintains the feel and the unmatched casting abilities of our 8 weight.
The flexible tip will let you easily load the rod for the short casts and in the same time helps to decrease the number of false casts needed to cast the fly as far as you can. Most importantly it saves your arm and wrist the fatigue caused by the sudden jerky hits caused by stopping a rod with a stiff tip section at the end of the casting stroke.
The lightweight tip and the new material we use in the butt section helped us to keep the overall weight of the rod extremely low. It weighs only 105 grams!
The swing weight is similar to most modern high-end 8 weight (!) rods. The MOI (Moment of Inertia) is 87 gm² while most excellent 8 weight rods are between 82 and 91. 10 weight rods are usually over 100.
These attributes will keep you casting big streamers the whole day long for species like pike, taimen and stripers or present a heavily weighted crab fly with ease and accuracy to a permit on the tropical flats.
