N0̸ Amber
Is the Amber a classic beauty or futuristic design? Hard to tell. One thing is certain: it looks amazing. Deep, translucent orange wraps with black edging for added contrast, paired with zebrawood or matte clear anodised aluminum spacers. A really eye-catching combination.
The N0̸ blank:
Why would anyone want a zero weight rod? If you use European nymphing techniques (Czech, Polish, French or Spanish) even a 2 weight is too stiff for lobbing tiny weighted nymphs or even double and triple nymph rigs. Your fishing will be enhanced with a much better drift control by using a rod that is sensitive enough to place the nymphs wherever and at the depth that you want.
Will you have problems playing the hooked fish? No, these rods are not zero weight strong but zero weight sensitive. They are insanely light in the hand and very responsive so you will get a lot of feedback while your nymph or nymphs are bouncing on the the river bottom. I have to admit that I only used these nymphing techniques when conventional long line methods were impossible to perform effectively but since I have this rod I enjoy them just as much as any other way of fly fishing.
For sure, they are not for chasing tarpon or GT but you will be able to play 99% of the trout or grayling you hook in a fast and effective manner.
All our rods are hand built to order one at a time and are endlessly customizable. Please make an inquiry on current lead times before placing your order.
