Ti4 Amber 10'
Is the Amber a classic beauty or futuristic design? Hard to tell. One thing is certain: it looks amazing. Deep, translucent orange wraps with black edging for added contrast, paired with zebrawood or matte clear anodised aluminum spacers. A really eye-catching combination.
The Ti4 10' blank:
10’ 4 weights became a new standard in the last couple of years. New technologies make these long rods light enough to enjoy using them the whole day long. The extra length makes the 10’ rods very versatile. The Ti4 10’ has a very light overall and swing weight, these are probably the lightest 10’ 4 weight rods on the market. True to weight lines are a great match, short casts with only a couple of feet of fly line out of the tip top are not a problem. Of course most will use these rods on bigger rivers where long casts are essential. The Ti4 is up to the task, it will help you to keep control over these long casts.
The greatest advantage of the 10’ rods is the ability to manipulate the line on the water with ease and hook fish more effectively on long slack line casts with dry flies.
The Ti4 10’ is a great euro nymphing rod too, especially if you are after bigger fish and bigger flies are used.
Reviews
"I just wanted to check in and let you know that I absolutely LOVE the Ti4 10'. I've been using it all summer in Oregon and Idaho and I've yet to find a river where it isn't the first rod I reach for. I've been carrying two types of leaders with a Rio Gold line: standard 9-12' knotted leaders for dry flies and indicator nymphing but also long leaders for tight-line nymphing and all-monofilament casting. The rod casts superbly with everything I've put on it. The fact that the rod has enough sensitivity to tight-line nymph AND enough power to cast a dry-dropper in big Western rivers is nothing short of remarkable. And that's to say nothing of the fact that I can present fairly small dries with it at close range!! But I think what it really excels at is casting surprisingly heavy indicator rigs. Especially on a roll cast, it turns the line over like it were nothing. I've even used it for some streamers, though I haven't put on a sinking line. (I am not that good at streamer fishing but occasionally throw on a woolly bugger.)
I was a little worried that the Ti4 might be a "jack of all trades, master of none" but that hasn't been the case at all. Pretty much the only time I don't use it is if I know I'm going to be tight-lining all day, in which case I go for a 10'9" 2wt, as it picks up strikes a little better. But truly, the Ti4 is an amazing rod and the build quality is so excellent. Thank you so much!"
