Fly rods

T9 Evil Black

Are you a real bad boy? A villain who wants to spread fear amongst fish and fellow fisherman? Look no further! If Darth Vader had a fly rod this would be the one. The color black dominates with a gorgeous red ferrule trimming to give it that final Evil touch.

The original idea for this color combination came from Marc “the Limp Cobra” Fauvet.

The T9 blank:

The T9 has a similar, steeper flex profile as the T7, making it lightweight and powerful. A rod for accurate presentations to cruising permits on the flats,  making long casts for pike and stripers or even fishing with large flies for huchen. The tip is flexible and sensitive but at the same time also strong enough to help you cast big flies, heavy lines or fighting strong winds.

All our rods are hand built to order one at a time and are endlessly customizable. Please make an inquiry on current lead times before placing your order.

Reviews

"I fished this rod yesterday evening. This rod is really fun to cast! I was just seeing how far I could throw a gurgler up under the mangroves with some of the tightest loops I've ever thrown. And when I do get a snook to eat back in there, I feel like I've got a little more muscle to pull them out."
