COMPARING THE STICKMAN RODS TO THE COMPETITION
2014.01.22 16:03
This is a little guide that should help you comparing our rods to similar products of other companies.
ERN (Effective Rod Number) measures the power or stiffness of the rod. The higher the number the stronger/stiffer the rod is. Don’t use this number as a line recommendation, contact us via e-mail and we will let you know which lines we prefer to fish on the Stickman rods.
AA (Action Angle) measures rod action, where the rod flexes. The higher the number the more “tip-flex” action the rod is.
MOI (Moment of Inertia) measures the swing weight. The higher the number the higher the swing weight is.
Although the CCS system has its flaws it can be used to compare similar rods to each other. Nothing is better than test cast the rods though!
The MOI data was calculated with the MOI calculator of Grunde Løvoll and Magnus Angus.
Some of the data comes from the Sexyloops Rod Database.
